From the Artist’s Desk

The starting point of this design was a wing-shaped constellation, inspired by the shape of an Efficient Frontier curve, and strengthened by the prevalence of such forms in rock ’n’ roll imagery, from Aerosmith to Led Zeppelin. As the design evolved, I reduced and refined the more literal wing form, allowing for greater focus on the hero element: the “optimal portfolio,” shining like the brightest star in the night sky. In keeping with the origins of this design, I created a custom, Led Zeppelin-style typeface, tying everything together like the logo of your new favorite band.
